Staged admissions for postgraduate applications
Our most popular courses receive many more applications than we have study places available. To manage the competition for places, for some of these courses we operate a staged admissions process, with application and decision deadlines throughout the year.
You will apply in the usual way using our Postgraduate Online Application Form, but we give preference to applications that exceed the course entry requirements.
The following courses will be using the staged admissions process for applications to start in September 2025:

- MSc Artificial Intelligence
- MSc Computer Science with Speech and Language Processing
- MSc Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence
- MSc Data Science

In some cases, because of the high volume of applications we receive, we may need more time to assess your application. If this is the case, we will assess your application in the next stage. We will let you know if we intend to do this.
We may be able to consider applications received after 14 July 2025 if places are still available.
Study places are offered subject to availability. Given the popularity of these courses, places may not be available if you apply later in the cycle.
If we offer you a place, we will ask you to accept the offer and pay a tuition fee deposit (relevant International students only). If you do not accept the offer and pay the deposit by the deadline stated in your offer letter, we may withdraw our offer.
Applications for entry in September 2026 open from September 2025.
International scholarships
We offer a generous package of financial support for international students, including undergraduate and postgraduate taught scholarships towards the annual tuition fee. Applications are open for existing offer holders.
