PhD study

We welcome expressions of interest to study for a PhD with the centre. Candidates are expected to submit a CV, demonstrating a competitive academic background, optionally complemented by relevant work and publication experience. We are in particular keen to hear from candidates with experience in conducting empirical interdisciplinary research with human participants, showing a good grasp of quantitative, qualitative and/or arts-based research techniques and confidence in the use of software and programming languages supporting research. A commitment to interdisciplinary and open research agendas is an expectation, as well as the ability to develop a research proposal that aligns with the centre’s aims. 

Postdoctoral research and job openings 

The centre is keen to support postdoctoral researchers in the development of fellowship funding applications, relevant schemes are listed below. Funded positions come up with some regularity and will be advertised below. They will also be advertised on jobs.ac.uk, to which you can subscribe to receive job alerts.
