The course allowed me to get into the technical depths of more than one area of interest, such as dynamics, tribology and composite materials
Before coming to º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ for her Masters in Advanced Mechanical Engineering, Anushka Mookherjee worked within the R&D department of the Mercedes-Benz Cars Division in India.
She tells us a little more about her experience as a Masters student within our Department:
What did you enjoy most about your course?
I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the real-world applications of concepts learned in Dynamics and Tribology. The combination of experimentation along with verification via computer models has been quite insightful.
What are your ambitions?
Before arriving at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½, I worked at a top automotive company, Mercedes-Benz. Pursuing a master's in Advanced Mechanical Engineering at a top University was my ambition. Therefore, my ambition for after I complete my degree is to re-enter the automotive industry with an improved skill set, a renewed vigour, and higher goals from what I have previously achieved.
What would you say to someone considering studying this degree at university?
I have already encouraged my junior colleagues from my previous institute to consider the University of º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ as a top choice for a masters in mechanical engineering. A Masters degree opens up more doors for an individual's professional development and I believe that º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s programme allows students to forge their own paths by choosing electives tailored to their interests, and the infrastructure and opportunities provided by the University are a great way to experience the international environment and move on to experience the international work culture.
