Anna has more than 20 years' experience working in information technology, digital transformation and senior library roles in higher education. She joined the University in January 2020 as Associate Director of Digital Strategies, Research & Engagement, providing strategic direction for the Library’s digital services, scholarly communications, open research, faculty engagement and partnerships.

She works collaboratively across the organisation, serving as a member of University Senate and several Senate and University Executive Board (UEB) sub-committees, to advance the University’s aspirations for learning, teaching and research in a rapidly evolving open, online and digital age.

In September 2021, Anna was appointed as Director of Library Services and University Librarian and provides strategic leadership for the University Library, working with her team to provide excellent services, inspiring and flexible spaces and extensive information resources to support students and researchers across the University.

Prior to joining the University, Anna held positions at the University of St Andrews in IT Services, Research, Partnerships and Innovation and the Library, and worked in the private sector, developing software and providing consultancy services.

Anna serves on the executive board of LIBER (Association of European Research Libraries), Content Strategy Group of SCONUL (Society of College, National and University Libraries) and the White Rose Libraries Executive Board. She is also a member of national and international academic library networks, including N8, RLUK and IATUL.
